Horticultural Expo to be Hosted by Beijing in 2019
Beijing won the bid to be the host for the 2019 International Horticultural Exposition by means of votes from the 168 members of the Association of International Horticultural Producers during its 15th congress in Paris. The president and the secretary general for the Association of International Horticultural Produces handed over the association’s flag to the Chinese delegates which symbolize the right and the honor to be the host city.
A member for the Chinese delegation and head for the Chinese council for the promotion of international trade thanked the association and members for giving out their full support in rusting them with the hosting of the expo. The council together with the Chinese government will be a powerful backer for the event.
The expo is rated as an A1 exposition which focuses on having a healthy lifestyle. The 162 day event will be on April 29 until October 7, 2019 at the Yanqing county and a venue of around 960 hectares. Furthermore the Chinese government has already gained useful experience by previously hosting the exposition in Kunming in 1999 and the World Expo in Shanghai in 2010.
