China International Investment and Trade Fair to Push Local Businesses Overseas
More than 200 companies and institutions from 12 different countries and region were on hand to meet the 1,000 manufacturers in Shenzhen and the surrounding areas during the 2014 China International Investment and Trade Fair. the fair is expected to bring local businesses overseas orders and investment projects to help firms go global amid a slow Chinese economy.
Furthermore the fair will feature a e-commerce exhibition where overseas platform along with e-commerce firms from other countries and Chinese platforms will be showcasing an emerging cross border e-commerce opportunities. And to meet the rising demand from local firms for overseas investment, the overseas investment exhibition will be opened in Hall 2 with around 100 projects from America, Australia and the Middle East.
Also 200 domestic firms and foreign brands coming from 20 sectors ranging from retail, catering, jewelry and garments are seeking for a chance to look for cooperation with local investors and open franchises in the city. a food and beverage import and export exhibition will also be the highlight of the fair in hall 3 covering around 15,000 square meters. The food and beverage exhibition will feature gourmet foods and beverages from countries such as Italy, France and South Korea along with retailers Carrefour and Wal-Mart.
