More Trains to be Added to Accomodate the Increase of Passengers in the Summer
The city is planning to add more passenger trains departing Shenzhen going to top tourism destinations and will be also increasing high speed trains that will cater to the increasing demand for travel this summer. The Shenzhen Railway Station increase its existing passenger trains to four pairs that travel back and forth from Zhangjiaje City in Hunan, Qingdao in Shandong, Shaoguan City in Guangdong and Fuyang City in Anhui.
Shenzhen East Railway Station will be introducing two temporary trains that will head for Yueyang and Changsha in Hunan in hopes to relive the operation pressure that usually happens every summer. The passenger train K1516 will depart and head off to Shanghai has been turned in to a fast train T106 that shortens travel time to six hours. Six trains will also be departing Shenzhen West Railway Station going to Shanghai, Tongren, Chengdu, Taiyuan, Shaoyang and Huaihua will be using different departure times starting Tuesday. Furthermore the train heading to Shanghai will resume its regular departure from Shenzhen West Railway Station every day.
On the Beijing-Guangzhou-Shenzhen high speed rail line will be adding eighteen more pairs of high speed trains that will bring the total number of trains to 134 per day. This means that there will be two trains one will be leaving Shenzhen and the other will be arriving Shenzhen. in addition to the high speed trains to the Beijing-Guangzhou-Shenzhen high-speed rail line, four additional trains will also be added to Xiamen-Shenzhen High-Speed Rail.
