Caved In Road Section Near Huaqiangbei Bus Station Being Repaired
A thousand families are cut off from gas supply, telecommunications and access to network after a road section near the Huaqiangbei bus Station in Futian subsided. The incident occurred near the Metro Line 7 construction site. Just after its subside the city traffic police closed the station and part of Huaqiang Road North and issued a statement that it is too risky for residents to walk near the road of the cave in area.
The cave in areas formed a hole around 10 square meters and residents said that several trucks loads of soil were used to try and fill up the hole along with concrete during the evening. The two way road has two lanes is now open to traffic and passengers need to take buses from a temporary station.
Workers on site said that the cave in is not serious and that the heavy rain that was brought by Typhoon Rammasun caused a blockage in the drainage system and the problem was solved by rerouting the water. A reminder was placed near the subway construction site which reminded resident on the planned controlled explosions which is scheduled to happen between April 18 to December 31 near the planned Metro stations of Huaxin to Huangmugang. These controlled explosions are approved by the Shenzhen Municipal Public Security Bureau.
