Huawei Technologies Achieved Sustainable Growth for 2014
Huawei Technology, the world’s No. 2 telecom equipment manufacturer revealed yesterday that it has achieve a sustainable growth in 2014 after the company posted a 19 percent jump in the first half revenue by 135 billion yuan. Huawei said that it also expected to generate a operating margin of 18 percent for the first six months of 2014 although the company didn’t elaborate further.
The company driven by the increase in investment in LTE networks worldwide, has further solidified their leadership in mobile broadband services. Along with the rapid growth in software and services also help in maintaining a steady growth of its chosen carrier network businesses. Huawei was able to achieve a sustainable growth in their consumer business including smart phones manufacturing due to a better brand awareness.
The company’s sales growth in the first half was in line with their expectations came after a 222 percent to 270 percent jump in their first half net profits that was flagged by competitor ZTE Corp. ZTE said that their growth was due to improved margins and revenue coming from new contracts to establish China’s next generation telecom network.
In 2013 Huawei posted a 10.8 percent increase for its first half revenue and a 12 percent growth in their operating margin. Then earlier this year the company set a target of US$ 70 billion in revenue or a annual growth of 10 percent a year after they posted a 8.6 percent growth.
