The expressway is one of the most beautiful expressway in China and started operating in December of last year, but still a limited number of vehicles are using is due to incomplete connection projects, lack of access roads and insufficient sign that directs vehicles to the expressway.
During the first month of its operations the expressway operator lost 2 millionyuan a day, which led to the company to take out loans to equate up to 3.5 million yuan a day. In that period the expressway handled more than 46,000 vehicles against the 480,000 vehicles passing the Guangzhou Shenzhen Expressway.
