Nobel Prize Winners to Discuss Topics on Biological Technology during International Summit
The international summit on biological technology that is scheduled to open on September 10 in Shenzhen will have two Nobel laureates attending. The summit will be held at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center with 2002 Nobel Prize winner in Physiology Sydney Brenner to give a speech about the future if biological medicine research while 2009 Nobel Prize winner in Physiology Jack William Szostak will follow after.
Brenner research is about the DNA encoding, genetic sequencing and biological evolution and Szostak will discuss his contribution to genetics. The summit will have more than 60 big names gathered from every corner in China and abroad and the government will also be introducing its international biology valley which is an ongoing project that is building a cluster of biotech industry in Eastern Shenzhen.
140 biotech enterprises from different parts of the world have already confirmed their participation and is expected to put on displays of their latest technologies, equipment and solutions during the summit.
