Private Company to Invest in Cancer Treatment Center in Qianhai
A private company in Shenzhen is cooperating with the Institute Curie of France to create a cancer treatment center in the Qianhai area with an initial investment of 3 billion yuan. The investor, Shenzhen Qianhai Zhongtian Kecheng Investment Management Co. stated that the Shenzhen Curie (France) Cancer Treatment and Rehabilitation Center will be constructed as a comprehensive cancer specialist hospital that will comply with the Chinese 3-A class criteria and JCI standard that is used in the U.S. The hospital will be constructed in an area of 360,000 square meters and will have 1,000 beds for its patients.
The center was founded in 1909 by Madam Curie, the institute is one of the largest cancer research center in Europe and is leading in the field of radiotherapy that have been widely applied in the treatment of pediatric tumors to breast cancer. The center will be absorbing the foreign and domestic experts and will integrate treatment, diagnosis, research and medical services.
Aside from the Institute, the Shenzhen Company is establishing partnerships with Ping An Bank, Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center, Fuda Cancer Hospital in Guangzhou, and other medical and financial organizations.
The hospital will be planned to become an international medical brand to serve patients from Hong Kong, the Middle East, Macau and Southeast Asia. The company has already submitted its plan to Shenzhen Municipal Government for approval, although the date and location of the ground breaking hasn’t been decided yet.
