Central Government Offers More High Quality Jobs to Migrant Workers

Central Government Offers More High Quality Jobs to Migrant WorkersThe Central Government is trying to offer more high quality jobs to its migrant workers to help them ease into urban living. To achieve this, the State Council is also hoping to provide professional training to 20 million surplus rural laborers per year until the year 2020.

The goal is to boost the working conditions, proper pay schedules and to make sure that the workers are covered by social security based on a guideline published by the State Council. And by the end of June, China has already more than 174 million migrant workers that are working outside of the areas of their residence.

Furthermore the cabinet is willing to work things out and assist more than 100 million migrant workers in the central and western China to be urbanized locally and also assist around 100 million people nationwide that have no urban identification record s to settle in cities and town by 2020. Based on the guidelines these migrant workers will be enjoying the same treatment as urban residents are getting in terms of social security. Also these migrant workers will be trained to focus on working on the service sector and to offer them favorable policies to help them start their own businesses.

By the year 2020 these migrant workers and their families will be enjoying equal access to all basic public services in cities ranging from education, public housing and community hospitals.
