Shenzhen Reveals Plans to Open Two More Nature Parks
Two nature reserve parks are being planned by the city and will be constructed in Pingsahn New Area and in Bao’an District. Based on two construction plans that was published by the Shenzhen Urban Administration which is currently seeking suggestions from the public.
One of the two nature reserve park is the Tiegang-Shiyan Wetland Park that has an area of 52 square kilometers and is just at the border of Bao’an District and Guangming New Area and the Nanshan district. The nature park is comprised with the Tiegang Reservoir, the Shiyuan Reservoir and several nearby wet land and mountains. It also has a core area including a 23 square kilometer core area that contains ecological afforestation land and sightseeing area.
The second park the Tiantoushan Nature Reserve covers 20 square kilometers and is near Maluan Mountain Country Park and Dapeng Peninsula Nature Reserve in the southeast portion and adjacent Huishou City in the Northeast. The Tiantoushan Park is geographically parted into two parts by an existing expressway and the other part also consist of expressways but is still in the planning stage.
