International Forum to Make Waves for the Future of Higher Learning
This Sunday during the opening of the China Hi-Tech Fair will have an international forum that will pave the way for the future for higher learning in the Internet age. The forum will be attracting well known professors, university leaders and education experts from 24 universities coming from 12 countries and will focus on innovation and showcasing the educational and scientific research achievements of universities from sister cities of Shenzhen.
The forum’s opening will be held at the Huaxia Hall of the Wuzhou Guest House and will also mark the establishment of the Shenzhen International Friendship City University League that have 27 members universities which includes 17 foreign universities. The forum will also feature a photo exhibition of member universities that will be done at Hall 8 of the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center. The league was started by South University of Science and Technology of China together with nine other universities namely Shenzhen Information Institute of Technology, the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen), Tsinghua University, Shenzhen University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen Polytechnic, and the Shenzhen graduate school programs of Peking University.
South University of Science and Technology of China also signed a cooperation agreement with the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston to work on a five year comprehension cultivation program. The cooperation program will promote academic, educational and scientific exchanges among member universities and at the same time promote sustainable development of a higher learning education.
