Hi-Tech Fair Introduces Low Carbon Economy Institutes
Two projects were approved last Monday during the 16th China Hi-Tech Fair wherein the South China Institute of Low Carbon Economy Standardization and a scientific base for the reuse of global water resources was approved in a framework signing and will be established in Pingshan New Area. Shenzhen based Oceanpower Industrial Corp has also decided to transfer is headquarters to Pingshan.
According to the president of China National Institute of Standardization, there are three ways for a company to innovate. As third class companies can sell products, second class companies to sell brand names and top companies to sell standards. Meanwhile the water reuse research base will be conducting research on how to desalinate sea water, control and manage regional river sources, reusing global agricultural irrigation water resources and water discharges.
One of the city’s important industrial policies is to ensure the quality, safety and efficiency which is based on the policy of standardization, specifications for products services and systems. By creating standards will enable companies to be active in competing and will build Shenzhen into a creative center instead of a manufacturing and processing base instead. Being a new development area and industrial base in Shenzhen, Pingshan is mainly focusing in the five leading industries namely new-information technology, new-energy vehicles, health care, biomedicine, and lifestyle products.
