Planned Construction of an Urban Complex at Shenzhen North Station have Started
Construction of a urban complex in Shenzhen North Railway Station is well on its way. The complex which is located at the center of Longhua New Area marks the start of a series of planned renovations at the station. The new complex will be covering an area of 21,312 square meters with a floor space of 315,870 square meters.
The complex will have four office buildings and five commercial buildings. The Shenzhen North Railway Station that has high speed trains going to Xiamen and Beijing is an important transportation hub if the railway network in China. it is also a part of the transportation hub of the Shenzhen Metro Line 4 and 5 and once completed Line 6 will also have an interchange section at the station. As of the moment the station handles 97 pairs of trains and 400,000 passengers.
During the eve of the Longhua New are third anniversary, the local government kicked off around 30 projects that are aimed to improve the livelihood of its residents. These projects have a combined investment of 1.32 billion which includes construction of roads, community parks, water pipelines and the Shenzhen No. 8 High School. The school is located at the intersection of Huanguan South Road and Xianhu Road in Guanlan and the government has set aside 75,294 square meters of land for the said project.
