Traffic Police to Impose Traffic Measures to Guarantee Less Traffic at Tourist Spots
Several traffic controls are being imposed at popular tourist’s attractions around the city during the Spring Festival and Lantern Festival. The move is aimed to guarantee that there will less traffic around the public places where a large number of residents are expected to visit during the seven day public holiday and during the Lantern Festival.
Residents are asked to take public transportation in visiting the Fairy Lake Botanical Garden were residents can find the Hongfa Temple a population destination as residents visit the temple to ask for blessings. Vehicles having special permits are the one that is allowed to enter the park starting on the eve of the Chinese New Year. Drivers caught without these permits will be fined from 200 yuan up to 2,000 yuan. To accommodate more passengers’ bus companies will be sending more buses to Liantang area and Dawang Village in Luohu.
Residents are asked to park their vehicles near the Metro Station and use the shuttle bus or taxis. Furthermore traffic police will be providing transportation services for children, elderly and disabled people. Police are expecting crowds of visitors to flock at major tourism destinations during the seven day festival.
