State Aviation Company Set to Launch Finished C919 Passegner Plane Within this Year
Several State Owned commercial Aircraft Corporation of China or COMAC for short has successfully completed the basic assembly of Is medium range C919 large passenger planes and is expected to launch test flights within this year.
COMAC is China’s answer to passenger planes from Boeing Co. and Airbus Group NV which has already secured 450 orders from 18 companies, although the agency didn’t give further details COMAC executives was not available for comments. China intends to develop a successful commercial aircraft to prove that it can already match the US and Europe in the large passenger aircraft market.
Although the county is been held back by inexperience and a shortage of local aerospace design and engineering talent with a lack of home grown companies that have a technology to push the project. Airbus forecast the domestic aviation market in China to be the world’s biggest in the next few years.
