Corporate Giants to Expand their Existing Alliance in Cloud Computing
Intel Corp. together with Huawei Technologies are planning to expand its existing alliance in providing cloud computing to global telecom carriers since U.S. tech firms are vying for Chinese tie ups in retain access in a tough market.
The unlikely partnership was announced by Huawei in a statement wherein U.S. along with other Western tech firms are scrambling to burnish bonifide ties with China that has become increasingly wary of foreign technology. By joining hands with Chinese firms, ranging from technology transfer and adopting Chinese partners can make products more palatable to local buyers and with buyers in the second largest economy.
The Chinese government is pushing for the use of more Chinese technology and lesser foreign made technology, in which both was their own tech sector and is a response to former U.S. National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden rumors on U.S. cyber surveillance.
The cloud computing industry primarily focus on China, with Premier Li Keqiang stating in his government work report to delivered to parliament that the government will be supporting it development. Huawei and Intel collaborated previously which included a server and cloud product team up along with an agreement to cooperate on data storage.
