China Vows not to Use Silk Road Project as a Political Tool

China Vows not to Use Silk Road Project as a Political ToolChina said that it will not be using the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road project as a tool to manipulate neighboring countries. China will be putting aside political disputes and focuses on the economic and humanities cooperation when it comes to sea exploration.

The Maritime Silk Road links China with other Southeast Asian, East African, Middle Eastern and some European economies using shipping routes such as the Malacca Strait and Red Sea. Asian nations should build a deeper trust in sharing the benefit that is brought by the ocean and China is willing to work will all Asian countries, enterprises and organization that share the same view.

Also a deeper cooperation with the association of Southeast Asian National members should be established especially those link in ocean transportation, scientific research, resource exploration, environmental protection, tourism sectors and disaster relief. So far the country has established partnerships with Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia in doing maritime cooperation.
