More High End Hospitals Opening Branches in Shenzhen
Amcare Women and Children’s Hospital a Beijing based high end private hospital will be opening its first South China branch in Shenzhen will be joining the number of other private hospitals that is penetrating the Shenzhen market. The City government is inviting private medical institutions to open branches in Shenzhen as the government has made progress in revising existing regulations that will welcome private investments in the health sector.
More private high end hospitals are opening in the city as its population of middle class residents keeps growing. C-Mer Dennis Law Eye Hospital was the first medical institution to open in Shenzhen and operated by a Hong Kong resident on the Chinese mainland. The Hong Kong style high end services that these hospitals provide is increasing and being recognized by the public more.
According to the hospital the city government is giving them a lot of support and assist them in cutting operations costs and has already included the hospital in the national health care insurance network to assist patients in reducing their medical costs. According to Shenzhen’s health and family planning department there are 70 medical institutions in the city that are being funded partially by private investment.
The city is planning to open three more institutions and hire medical professionals to work on 3-A hospitals the highest level in the government rating system. The city will also be providing the hospitals with preferential policies that based on a work report issued by the department.
