Special Cooperation Zone to be Created to Assist Business OwnersAs living condition rises in Shenzhen, costs of operating a manufacturing business also goes up, and creating the Shenzhen Shanwei Special Cooperation Zone might be the solution to the problem for business owners. As setting up a business in Shenzhen is becoming costly, factories are considering growing their business in Shanwei. Regarded as one of the poorest cities in Guangdong province a majority of  young people have move out.

But in the cooperation zone companies will enjoy the same treatment as that Shenzhen enterprise for government incentives in certain industries. Furthermore anyone can apply for a permanent residency permit in Shenzhen as long as the meet the requirements. The Shenzhen Shanwei Special Cooperation Zone has fast tracked its development with several ongoing construction projects.

The vice mayor and director of Shenzhen Shanwei Special Cooperation Zone He Yuewen stated that around 2,600 enterprises are expressing interest in investing in the zone along with the construction of 37 projects in 2014. The zone covers four township[ in western Shanwei covering an area of 468 square kilometers. By 2020 the zone will be complete and is predicted two have a GDP of 22.5 billion yuan and its per capital GDP at 100,000 yuan based on figures of the overall development plan.
