Job Fair for Foreign Talents to be Held in Shenzhen
The city is planning to open a job fair that is designed for foreign jobseekers. This job fair will be a sideline event of the 13th Conference on International Exchange of Professionals. The fair will be held April 18 and 19 and it will be at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center.
The job fair will have an area of 1,000 square meters and according to its organizer the Foreign Talents Information Research Center which works under the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs will be offering 300 vacancies for foreign jobseekers. Around 50 enterprises, universities, training centers and research institutes will be joining the job fair. Big enterprises such as Huawei Technologies, FAW Group, China South Locomotive and Rolling Stock Co. sign up for the fair as well.
Several institutes in the Pearl River Delta including Sun Yat-sen University a Shenzhen based English First Training Center, Guangdong University of Technology and Dongguan Institute of Science and Technology confirmed their intentions to attend the fair. The Foshan Municipal Government is also opening a booth to recruit foreign talent to be placed in government enterprises.
Started in 2005 the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs had job fairs in cities across China. this year’s fair attracted international companies to participate from foreign expert agencies, education institution, research institutions and human resources from 80 countries. The 15 themed exhibition area will cover 6 halls showcasing the latest achievements in China including exchanges through match making meeting for enterprises.
