Overseas Exibitors and Buyers Increased during International Cultural Industries Fair
The number of overseas exhibitors and professional buyers during the 11th China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair that starts today and ends on Monday a big increase compared the previous event. During a news conference Shenzhen Vice Mayor Wu Yihuan stated that more than 84 organizations from 40 countries are participating in the five day fair that will be held at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center.
Overseas exhibitors will be given 20 percent of the exhibition area from the 105,000 sqaure meters in the nine halls a five percent increase from last year. Also the number of professional buyers from 97 countries and regions have increased to 18,000. 32 percent are from Macau and Hong Kaong while 31 percent are coming from American and European countries. There will be 728 activities in the fair with 90 percent held at 61 subvenues scattered across the city
This will be the first time throughout the fair’s history that allows foreign exhibitors to display intangible cultural products in the fair. One Indian agency will be showcasing 16 different Indian intangible cultural practices ranging from arts and crafts, Indian embroidery skills and jewelry making. Several international delegations will be displaying their authentic folk culture, products, artworks and cultural performances.
The organizers has also designated Hall 5 to be the Hall of Belt and Road, the name the Chinese government has given the Silk Road Economic Belt and 21st Century Maritime Silk Road Initiative where 15 countries will be displaying cultural and innovative products.
