China’sTelecom Carriers Offers Users New Mobile Internet Packages
China’s three biggest telecom carriers are planning to reduce internet usage charge is under criticism from users after calling it modest and lacks sincerity. The three companies revealed their price reduction plans for broadband internet, roaming services and mobile data traffic after Premier Li Keqiang asked for cheaper and faster internet connection.
China Mobile will be introducing a 10 yuan 1GB data cellular package for data use at night which starts from 11 pm until 7 am and a 50 yuan 2 GB data usage for 4G users. While China Telecom offers users a 20 yuan package for #GB data usage at night with an average broadband speed of 11 Mbps is upgraded to 20 Mbps with a 35 percent cut rate. China Unicom 2G and 3G user will be given an upgrade to 4G service and the carrier will offer a new cellular package charging 10 yuan for a 1.5GB data usage a month for six months.
The new night traffic plans drew criticism among the users saying that the are already home and have access to Wi-Fi. Users say that the plans and offers are not clear enough and ill designed. Furthermore the Ministry of Industry and information Technology has pledged to elevate the broadband speed and coverage and at the same the lower internet fees.
