State Council to Release National Plan to Promote Manufacturing in China
The State Council will be released a national plan that will focus on promoting manufacturing in China. the Made in China 2025 plan was authorized by premier Li Keqiang and it will be the first 10 year action plan that is designed to transform China from a manufacturing giant in a manufacturing power in the world.
The ten year plan will be followed with two more plans that will transform China into a leading manufacturing power by 2049 the 100th year anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. There are already nine tasks that are identified and marked as priorities namely the integration of information technology and industry, improve manufacturing innovation, fostering Chinese brands, promoting breakthrough in 10 key sectors, enforcing green manufacturing, advancing restructuring of the manufacturing sector, manufacturing related service industries, promoting service oriented manufacturing and internationalizing manufacturing.
The ten key sectors to be improved are numerical control tools and robotics, information technology, ocean engineering equipment, aerospace equipment, railway equipment, high tech ships, new energy vehicles, energy saving, power equipment biological medicine, medical devices, new materials and agricultural machinery. And to fulfill the task the Made in China 2025 project will also focus in five major projects which include establishing a manufacturing innovation center.
China will also introduce policies to deepen institutional reforms and strengthen financial support. Plus the implementation of the Made in China plan will be market oriented and to be guided by the government.
