Chinese Law Firms Setting Up Offices Abroad to Provide Legal Services
More Chinese law firms are establishing branches overseas in efforts to provide legal services to Chinese companies and enterprises that are set up abroad. These small and middle sized Chinese companies have extended their businesses overseas as the Chinese economy became stronger in the past few years.
Because of this, Chinese enterprises were met with legal difficulties that could have been avoided if better legal advice were given to them before they tried entering the market. According to a lawyer working for Ying Ke Law Firm in Britain that launched a legal project in 2010 that help Chinese companies before the extend overseas, that they help these companies with research on the foreign investment environment and its partners qualifications along with the proper information on registering in Britain and drafting legal documents. Their services can reduce misunderstanding and any trouble for Chinese companies that are not familiar with foreign legal procedures and language.

In 2013, Chinese courts heard more than 5,272 family cases that involved foreigners with cases ranging from divorces, child custody to property rights matters. Plus maritime courts also handled 11,224 marine cases last year as foreign related marine disputes in China involved 73 countries and regions.
