Beach Park Saw Thousands of Visitors during Three day Holiday
During the Dragon Boat Festival and Father’s Day weekend saw thousands of visitors at Dameisha Park especially in the eastern Shenzhen which received approximately 310,000 holiday goers in the first two days of the three day holiday. Shenzhen Municipal Traffic Bureau stated in its Sina Weibo account that there was no major traffic accidents that occurred during the three day holiday but traffic was slow especially in the eastern part of the city.
Statistics showed that Dameisha Park had 31,000 visitors at 9 pm Saturday night and 22,000 people during the same time Sunday night. A lot of people were separated from family and friends due to the number of people at the beach and a room was used to broadcast messages through speakers calling out and reminding people on the items that they have lost. To avoid the huge crowd and traffic some families brought their children to the beach in the early hours of the morning and other planned to stay at nearby hotels and comeback in the morning the early morning the next day.
Parking lots were full during the three day holiday, there were some students from a college in Nanshan came to Dameisha beach for the first time and were amazed by the large crowd of people which was more than they have expected that they were forced to find another time to go beach and go swimming. Police officers and volunteers were on hand to keep traffic flowing and to assist visitors coming to the park. Park cleaners were on duty around the clock to clean up the waste that was left by holiday makers.
