Telecom Giants to Release Revenue Reports
The two biggest Shenzhen based telecom equipment giants are planning to release its revenue reports for the first half of 2015. Huawei and ZTE showed their revenues which soared by 30 percent and 21 percent respectively compared to the first half of 2014. Huawei’s revenue for the first half of 2015 hit 175 billion yuan an amount that three business group contributed namely the carrier network group, consumer business group and enterprise group.
Especially the consumer business group which achieved its target for the entire year by selling 100 million smartphones by the end of May. ZTE a telecom solutions provider focused on governments and enterprises and revenue reports showed that it hit 45 billion yuan for the first half of 2015. Based on ZTE 4G and government programs in China showed rapid growth in sales as well as sales of ZTE smartphones in the Asian Pacific, Europe and South America.
This year also came the Chinese Government anti monopoly probe that made Qualcomm a 6 billion yuan fine which gave way to the patent protection battle between ZTE and Huawei.
