Apartment Tenants to Comply with New Indentification Rules
Tenants’ access cards for rented apartments need to match the information that is shown on their identification cards starting next month. Foreign and Chinese residents are the ones covered by these new rules that apply to those renting an apartment in Shenzhen. a document was made by the city marketing supervision administration together with the public security bureau in efforts to standardize surveillance systems in entrances into apartments. The said document will implement an array of new standards for security starting next month.
The document also set a design principle, specified construction plans and technology requirements for security systems in a rented house. These requirements applies to all rented properties, from newly built ones, expanded and renovated rented properties in villages and communities.
The collection and managing of tenant’s information will also be covered by the new system as the document defines the rules for when tenants can access rented apartments. Tenants can only access the property when the approval from the property owners and managing center is given. Issuance of access cards and keys the tenant needs to provide their information that is shown on a photo id together with the property’s serial code. The encoded information in the access card is also filed with the public security bureau.
