Hot Weather to Hit Shenzhen due to Typhoon Soudelor Outer Streams
Due to the outer stream of Typhoon Soudelor that is approaching the eastern and southern part of China provinces, Shenzhen will be experiencing a hot weekend with temperatures hitting 34 to 35 degrees Celsius. In densely populated areas temperatures could even hit 35-36 degrees Celsius.
Visiibility is reduced and haze will be experienced as typhoon Soudelor makes landfall on Saturday on the coast of Zhejiang and Fujian provinces. Several cities in the eastern and northern Guangdong will also be experiencing heavy rains or rainstorms. The hot weather has already sent several residents to the hospital to be treated for sunstroke.
From August 1 to Wednesday the city’s maximum temperature will remain in the 32-34 degrees Celsius as the 47 meteorological observation stations monitoring the heat reported temperatures above 35 degrees Celsius and has already issued a yellow alert of high temperatures. Health experts are asking residents to take the necessary precautions to prevent them from heat and sunstroke especially pregnant women, seniors, people with cardiopath and diabetic diseases. Those working outdoors should also keep themselves hydrated by drinking beverages with vitamin C to help stop dehydration.
