Country Officials Have High Hopes in Xi Jinping Presence in G20 and APEC Summit
As President Xi Jinping leaves to attend the Group of 20 Summit and APEC Economic Leaders Meeting, several officials are anticipating his speeches about China’s philosophy that will maintain the economic growth of China upon a cold world economy. From Saturday until Monday, Xi will be attending several meeting in Turkey and Antalya then head off to the Philippines to attend the APEC meeting from Tuesday until Thursday. Before facing the G20 summit and the leaders of BRICS economies an informal meeting will be held in which Xi will be delivering a speech about greater cooperation among the five nations.
As Xi addresses the G20 Summit he will be talking about the world economy and cooperation that taps new impetus for growth and he will introduce China’s policies and measures that deepen reforms and establish a new system to open up the economy. Assistant minister for commerce Wang Shouwen stated that it’s a vital period for the G20 to transfer the mechanism of crisis response into a long term economic governance. Deputy director for the Institute of World Economy and Politics of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Yao Zhongzhi noted that there will be someone always doubting whether the G20 mechanism still exist, but Yao believes that the World still needs a platform for global governance.
Still the world economy is far from a complete recovery, plus Europe, the United States and Japan is not completely recovered from the impact of the financial crisis. Meanwhile there are plans for China to host the next G20 Summit next year and by hosting the event is perfect chance for the country to better integrate into the world and make it better as China actively supports the inclusiveness, implementation and investment programs that is introduced by Turkey.
While in Manila Xi will be attending and addressing the APEC CEO meeting and will also be present in the APEC Business Advisory Council Dialogue, the welcome banquet and Economic Leaders Meeting and Luncheon. Xi is expected to talk about China’s vision on the Asia Pacific cooperation and possibly discuss the implementation of the outcome of the APEC meeting in Beijing last year.
