Shenzhen to Build Separate Tracks for Bike Riders and Walkers at Shenzhen Bay Park
Based on plans that were released by a construction company, separate tracks for bicycle riders and walkers will be built along the west section of the Shenzhen Bay Coastal Belt just west of the Shenzhen Bay Park. The 6.6 kilometer coastal walking and biking areas started in October and is scheduled to be completed before October 2017.
Based on the plans a barrier will be constructed to separate the two tracks in which the paths will run beside piers and sightseeing areas. A 10 kilometer long section of the Shenzhen Bay Park was place in use in June 2011 when the west section of the belt is added. The new section starts from where the Zhongxin River meets the seas and stretched westward to Shekou frontier police station running 5,800 meters. The new section provides access to Shekou Hill, Shekou Port Park and Peninsula housing estate.
Construction will relocate the temporary water treatment plant, the removal of police inspection station pavilion and land requisition coming from the Shenzhen Zhenhua Port Enterprise Co. before the completion of the belt, a pollution treatment station at Shenzhen Bay will be completed, and four other facilities at the Dashahe River, Dongbin South Road and Rose Garden housing estate will be put into use before the year ends.
