Shenzhen Civil Affairs Open on 10-10-10 to Accommodate Marriage Registrations
After a big demand for marriage registration, the Shenzhen Civil Affairs Bureau has decided to open registry services on October 10, 2010, Sunday.
The city’s marriage registry officials told local reporters that almost all online reservations for marriage registration on 10-10-10 have already been booked. More than 800 couples have booked online for the said date and the time slots from 10 a.m. to 10:20 a.m. are going the fastest.
The so-called “triple 10 day” is regarded by the Chinese as an auspicious day, making it a perfect day to tie the knot.
