Business Resumes at Sea World after Renovations

Residents will be able to see the transformation of  Sea World with the opening of the Experience Center. The center is located near the Minghua ship, which is displaying plans for renovations of the Sea World complex financed by the China Merchants Property Development Co.

A movie being shown outlines the history of Shekou and the Minghua ship, a glimpse of what will the Shekou community will look like after renovations via a computer generated 3D movie. The district government together with the China Merchants Group has also announced the opening of the newly renovated Sea World Center Plaza.

The opening was celebrated with a food carnival, with 30 restaurants resuming their business after completion of their renovations. According to the developer, the Sea World commercial area consists of the Minghua ship, Center Plaza and Areas A, B and C. the renovations will be completed and opened by the end of next year.
