Student Volunteers Arrive for Universiade Training
350 volunteers coming from different parts of the country are now arriving in Shenzhen to help jump start their 19 days of service for the Universiade. Most of the volunteers are university students from Macao, Hong Kong, Taiwan and other cities in the mainland.
In a welcoming ceremony by the Shenzhen Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League of China said that most of the volunteers would be serving in the Shenzhen Stadium, Shenzhen Gymnasium and Shenzhen Natatorium. This week, all of the volunteers will undergo training in first aid and safety.
The volunteers will then participate in the World University Students Beach Music Festival with other students from around the world that are here in Shenzhen to participate in the Universiade games. The student volunteers will leave Shenzhen on August 25 after the Universiade closing ceremony.
