Popularity of Golf Brings in More Exhibitors at Asia Golf Show
Because of the increase in the popularity of golf in South China the ongoing golf fair in Shenzhen helped in the increase in the exhibitors and influence it as well even if this was only the second time the golf fair was held in the city. Around 200 golf equipment manufacturers were at the Asia Golf Show which had a exhibition are of 13,000 square meters.
Half of the exhibitors joined the fair for the first time and overseas exhibitors has shown great interest and is hoping that the golf industry in China is expected to have 20 million golfers and the amount of golf courses to double by the year 2020. The general manager for the Historic Scottish Golf that sells antique gold equipment and decorations said the increase of Chinese golf players help expand the business in China as more parents are letting their children play golf in China that in the United Kingdom.
Also attracted by the lucrative market the Indonesian tourism ministry set up their own booth in the hopes that they could attract more Chinese golfers to come to their country and check out their golf courses. Several instructors and golfers locally and abroad gave classes and hands on skills while golf equipment manufacturers displayed several of their new golf products and design at the fair.
