City to Implement Noise Restriction During ExaminationsAccording to the city’s human settlements and environmental commission, from Saturday until Monday the city will be implementing noise restrictions during the key exams namely the National College Entrance Examinations and the senior high school entrance examinations which will be held on June 21 to 22. Making noise will not be allowed within a 500 meter radius of the examination centers.

Any construction that creates noise will be suspended at noon and during nighttime from June 1 to 9 and for four days from June 20 to 23. Other noise making operations will be prohibited within a radius of 500 meters during the same period to provide a quiet environment for the examinees. And inspection also led to fines of a project contractor of a Metro Station project which was under construction in Futian which was found to create noise above the permitted decibel level.

To give smooth transportation for the examinees the transport commission will clear roads and offer traffic guidance near exam sites. Public transportation are also asked not to use horns when passing by the examination sites as well. the examinees are also offered free cab rides which are offered by the cab companies in the city they only need to show their exam admission documents.
