Welfare Organization Launches Fund to Help Solve Environmental Problems
The national public welfare organization (CSWF) of China Social Welfare Foundation formally launched a fund that will tackle environmental pollution in Beijing. the seed funding have a total contribution of around 3 million yuan which was setup to assist vulnerable groups that suffer from physical ailments, difficulty caused by pollution, and property losses. The fund which is first of its kind and was launched by a public welfare organization that targets environmental protection and aims in taking targeted measures that help people in lifting themselves out of poverty.
The founder and director of China Eco-civilization Think Tank Dr. Zhang Goufa who sponsored the launching ceremony said that the cause of both the wealth and pollution the people should make changes in production, customs and living in order to solve the critical problem of environmental pollution. Dr. Zhang have confidence in the fund’s prospect and also believes in the fund can support the introduction and development of green science and technology along with the development of ecological civilization. Meanwhile professor Liu Xiaoting, the vice president of China Natural Dialectics research Association that described the establishment of the fund is an awakening of the people towards the country’s environmental problems.
Also professor Ye Pin who is a member of the committee for China Eco-civilization called the society to donate at least one yuan to the fund to prevent environmental pollution. Ye is also the director of the center for Environmental and Social Studies of Harbin Institute of Technology has also proposed that every company should undertake the responsibility of environmental pollution prevention without any delay or ignoring.
